LETTERS FOR LUCA
Letters for Luca was born out of an idea that I had. I had always heard of some people writing letters to loved ones. I planned on writing handwritten letters, at no particular interval, to be sealed and dated for opening at some future point in Luca's life. Becoming a teenager, his first car, graduating High School, going to college, finding the love of his life, and so forth. All of these letters were to be dated, on dates determined by me, for which to be opened at that time in the future.
Unfortunately, I was only able to complete my first and only letter. I had not actually dated the letter for opening yet, because I had not yet decided on a date. So, after our tragic accident, I was able to take the letter to the hospital during his stay, and I read the letter out loud to him and a few of my family members. I will continue to write letters to him going into the future.
